 Happy Friday, Families!


Reminders:
We have now sent home all School Starter Packages with your children. Please fill out the documents and return them to school. 

If you haven't done so already, please send indoor shoes with your child. 

Our Day:
This morning we worked again on our Friendship journals. We worked closed on using capital letters and practicing finger spacing between our words. Ask your child who they wrote about today!

Ms. Wauthier and Mr. Kai's class spent some time today making student ID cards. Students spent time colouring themselves and writing about some of their favourite things. 

We ended the day with some calming gratitude time, allowing students to share with the class some of the reasons they feel grateful. The gratitude we heard today included:

  • "I am grateful for my mom and dad"
  • "I am grateful that we got to come back to school"
  • "I am grateful for my friends that I got to play with today"

  Reminders: - This week is Teachers' Convention - there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, February 11th and Friday February 12th. - Monday, February 15th is Family Day - NO SCHOOL - we will see you all back at school on Tuesday, February 16th. - we will not be  exchanging valentines this year Highlights from our day: - we had and exciting presentation from Earth Rangers today and learned about animal conservation and how to take care of the earth. REMINDERS Families Helping Families As is our tradition at Eric Harvie School, again this year we are calling on your kindness and generosity to help support a family in need at Christmas.  This year, we will be supporting 10 families at Colonel Fred J. Scott School who may need a little extra help to make Christmas brighter.  While in past years we asked for specific gift donations for individual family members, due to the pandemic, this year will look different.      This year we are asking for monetary donations.  These donations will purchase a variety of gift cards (eg. Walmart, Superstore, Safeway) and small stocking stuffers gifted to each member of the 10 families in a stocking.  Parent Council has generously offered their support by collecting the money via direct deposit and helping purchase the gifts.   Donations can be made via at   ehsestreasurer@gmail.com    (No password required.)  and are welcomed on or before...
