Reminders:

Jacket Racket 2020
We need your help!  We are currently collecting winter wear for Jacket Racket as we have for the past 4 years.  Due to Covid restrictions, we ask that you drop off new or gently used items in the collection bins outside the front door of the school.  Jacket Racket will accept coats, hats, mittens/gloves, boots, etc. in children's and adult sizes.  Please ensure the items are cleaned and in good condition.
Thank you so much for thinking of others during this challenging time!

Our Day:

We began our day with a quick lesson on "triple-scoop" words. These are words that are more descriptive and help improve our writing. They are named as such because reading a piece of writing that includes "triple-scoop" words makes you feel like you're getting a triple-scoop ice cream cone and not just a single-scoop cone. Ask your child about some of the "triple-scoop " words that we discussed today!

In the afternoon, we read the book, "The Prairie That Nature Built", and we began our investigation of the plants and animals that make their home on the prairie. This is an investigation that we are excited to continue in the coming week. Stay tuned!
