Reminders:

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!

‘Families Helping Families’ Update

Despite Covid changing how our Families Helping Families looked, it couldn't change the outpouring of generosity shown by our community!

So many groups of people have come together to support this peace initiative and we are so grateful.

  • Thank you EHS families for raising $2891.00 to support families at Colonel Fred J. Scott School
  • HUGE thank you to Parent Council for their overwhelming support, helping us to collect money and shop for gift cards and stocking stuffers for the 14 families
  • Thank you to Tuscany Sobey's for donating Christmas goodies to help fill our stockings
  • Also, thank you to management at The Gap (Market Mall) for extending their Black Friday sales to our Families Helping Families' shopper.

We are excited to stuff stockings and deliver the gifts to Colonel Fred J. Scott School later this week.

Our Day:

Mrs. Campbell's Class:

- We had a very special presentation today from a representative from Glenbow Ranch. She talked to the class about food chains. Ask your child what they learned!

- We took a walk to the Coulee in the afternoon and searched for evidence of animals. Ask your child about what they spotted!

Ms. Wauthier & Mr. Kai's Class:

- We began our day with some holiday art that will be put onto our cards. These cards will be delivered to the seniors home along with the wreaths.

- In Literacy today, we wrote all about our favourite activities we like to do in the winter. Ask your child what they wrote about!

- We continued learning all about the life cycle of the butterfly and finished our art to show the different stages. Students practiced adding details to their butterfly wings.

- In Math, we continued learning about 3D shapes and practiced sorting in a variety of ways. Ask your child how they sorted their shapes today!
