Important Info & Reminders 

  • If you brought your indoor shoes home over the break, please remember to bring them back to school 
  • Please bring the work you produced while learning on-line to school. This may be on loose-leaf paper, in your visual journal, or in the half-size journal. 
  • Our entrance and exit doors have changed. Students are to use the 2E doors (the tarmac) at the beginning and ending of the day. 

Our Day

  • For Literacy today, we had a fun activity where we learned about the value of adding details to our writing. To illustrate this point, we compared drawing a stick figure to drawing a detailed character. 
  • In Social Studies, we began our investigation of the Atlantic coast communities. We compared the geography of that region with our own, here in the prairies.  
  • At the end of our day, we continued our work with measurement and estimation. . We measured objects on our desk using non-standard unit of measure.

REMINDERS Families Helping Families As is our tradition at Eric Harvie School, again this year we are calling on your kindness and generosity to help support a family in need at Christmas.  This year, we will be supporting 10 families at Colonel Fred J. Scott School who may need a little extra help to make Christmas brighter.  While in past years we asked for specific gift donations for individual family members, due to the pandemic, this year will look different.      This year we are asking for monetary donations.  These donations will purchase a variety of gift cards (eg. Walmart, Superstore, Safeway) and small stocking stuffers gifted to each member of the 10 families in a stocking.  Parent Council has generously offered their support by collecting the money via direct deposit and helping purchase the gifts.   Donations can be made via at   ehsestreasurer@gmail.com    (No password required.)  and are welcomed on or before...
