Good Morning - Oops I forgot last night

As you have noticed I forgot to post the blog last night. My apologies for being so absent-minded.

Today was a jam-packed  day in the Peace Group! We are busy writing about friendship. Today we focused on revising and making our writing clear for our readers to read.  We are preparing to write a final draft of one of our writing pieces.  

We are learning about larger numbers in math. Today we focused on the tens in numbers.  We learned that it is an important part of larger numbers.  We represented numbers in a variety of ways: using ten frames, tallies, number lines, and ten blocks.

We learned more about the Acadians of the East Coast.  We read a story entitled Fiddle and Spoon. We looked at the cultural aspects of the Acadian Life.  Mr. Kai even showed us how to play the spoons.

Tomorrow some of us will be having our first spelling "Show What You Know" we will be using the word patterns that we have been working on over the past couple of weeks.
