Upcoming Coulee Walk:

We would like to go on a coulee walk this Friday as the weather is supposed to be really nice! Please ensure that your child comes to school on Friday with warm clothes (jacket, snow pants, gloves, hat), an extra pair of socks, extra masks, and a pocketable snack. 

Spirit Days: 


Spirit Days are back for the month of March. We had so much fun in December that we have decided to do it again! Spirit Days will be every Wednesday in March with different themes. We look forward to see what you come up with.

    March 24: Inspirational Shirt Day

Highlights from our Day:

It was backwards day today - and students had fun dressing backwards, learning their names backwards and trying to figure out our backwards schedule for the day. Here are a few pictures:





In Math we explored missing numbers on a number line and students played a game where they had to choose a number and their partner had to ask questions to figure out the mystery number. We reviewed the concepts of even and odd numbers and greater than and less than while giving clues.

In Social Studies we began looking at the past and watched a video showing a day in life of a student in Canada in 1923. Students then compared some of their daily school activities to that of a student living in the past.

REMINDERS Families Helping Families As is our tradition at Eric Harvie School, again this year we are calling on your kindness and generosity to help support a family in need at Christmas.  This year, we will be supporting 10 families at Colonel Fred J. Scott School who may need a little extra help to make Christmas brighter.  While in past years we asked for specific gift donations for individual family members, due to the pandemic, this year will look different.      This year we are asking for monetary donations.  These donations will purchase a variety of gift cards (eg. Walmart, Superstore, Safeway) and small stocking stuffers gifted to each member of the 10 families in a stocking.  Parent Council has generously offered their support by collecting the money via direct deposit and helping purchase the gifts.   Donations can be made via at   ehsestreasurer@gmail.com    (No password required.)  and are welcomed on or before...
