                                      A Strong Second Day! 

Updates: Our current practice when students are leaving the building for outside time or mask breaks is to use a Ziploc bag assigned to each child to store their masks.  We have noticed that some students are using fanny packs to carry their masks which seems to work really well to keep them with the child and avoid any additional handling.  We would welcome families that choose to, to send a fanny pack with their child for mask storage, however if you choose not to we will continue to offer the Ziploc bags for storage. 

Reminder: Tomorrow (and every Friday) is a half-day. We will end at 12:02, 12:07, and 12:12. 

Our Day: We read a book called The Peace Book and then had a wonderful discussion about what brings peace to our lives. Then he did a listener's response in our visual journals and drew these peaceful things. Later, in the afternoon, we had our first assembly. In an interesting new twist, the assembly was completely digital! Then, we ended the day with some read-alouds outside in the field. The weather was just lovely.

REMINDERS Families Helping Families As is our tradition at Eric Harvie School, again this year we are calling on your kindness and generosity to help support a family in need at Christmas.  This year, we will be supporting 10 families at Colonel Fred J. Scott School who may need a little extra help to make Christmas brighter.  While in past years we asked for specific gift donations for individual family members, due to the pandemic, this year will look different.      This year we are asking for monetary donations.  These donations will purchase a variety of gift cards (eg.
