 Happy Wednesday, Families!


Reminders:

  1. Mr. Kai and Ms. Wauthier have sent home starter packages with your child. These packages include Media Release Forms, Demographic Forms, and other information you might need to help us have a strong school start up. Please review the information in the package and send back any completed forms. Mrs. Campbell will be sending her forms home tomorrow (Sept 10).

  2. You can now send indoor shoes to school with your child.  Please label them with your child's name.

Our Day: 

Today we had another chance to write in our friendship journals! We learned about a few of our classmates, and about Ms. Wauthier. Each student will have the chance to be the 'friend of the day'. Ask your child about who they learned about today!

In Phys Ed today, we practiced running, jumping, hopping, and side squats.

Mr. Kai's class and Ms. Wauthier's class started to read a novel today called 'Pippy Longstocking'. The students enjoyed learning about how silly Pippy is.

Our classes have now experimented with primary colours! We learned about what colour is made when we mix Blue & Red, Yellow & Red, and Blue & Yellow. 

We continued working on our alphabet brainstorming activity, moving onto the letters F, G, H, I, & J. Ask your child which letter they decided to draw in their visual journal!

To end the day, we practiced cleaning our classroom and getting ready to go home. Each students is a leader in the classroom. If we work together, we can ensure our classroom stays clean and safe. Ask your child how they help the classroom stay clean.

REMINDERS Families Helping Families As is our tradition at Eric Harvie School, again this year we are calling on your kindness and generosity to help support a family in need at Christmas.  This year, we will be supporting 10 families at Colonel Fred J. Scott School who may need a little extra help to make Christmas brighter.  While in past years we asked for specific gift donations for individual family members, due to the pandemic, this year will look different.      This year we are asking for monetary donations.  These donations will purchase a variety of gift cards (eg. Walmart, Superstore, Safeway) and small stocking stuffers gifted to each member of the 10 families in a stocking.  Parent Council has generously offered their support by collecting the money via direct deposit and helping purchase the gifts.   Donations can be made via at   ehsestreasurer@gmail.com    (No password required.)  and are welcomed on or before...
