 Updates:

  • Please provide your child with a pair of INDOOR SHOES for school. It is starting to get messy outside now with all of the rain/snow
  • We are continuing to have PE outside as well as other learning opportunities and body breaks. Please continue to ensure your child has warm clothing to be outside in

Our Day:

  • We have a new poem of the week. See the photo below to have fun practicing at home with.
  • We worked on using 'kid writing' today during friendship journals. Kid writing is stretching the sounds out in words that you are writing and putting down the sounds that you hear. We are encouraging the use of beginning and ending sounds for our emergent writers, and beginning and ending consonant sounds as well as middle vowel sounds for our more experienced writers.
  • Mr. Kai's class went to music class today. You can check out the music blog here:  https://ehsmusic.blogspot.com/2020/10/
  • Mrs. Campbell's class worked on some 'Britto Pumpkins' today. This art was inspired by Romero Britto. He creates pop art with the use of bold, bright colours, interesting lines and patterns. Here is a look at some of our artwork. It is still in the beginning stages.

  • Mrs. Wauthier's class created spring flowers connected to their learning about the the seasons and were challenged to use a pattern for the petals. We have also all been consolidating our learning about repeating patterns by creating a class Frayer model.

  • Outside in PE, students have been working on their soccer skills - such as dribbling and passing
