Reminders:

Jacket Racket 2020
We need your help!  We are currently collecting winter wear for Jacket Racket as we have for the past 4 years.  Due to Covid restrictions, we ask that you drop off new or gently used items in the collection bins outside the front door of the school.  Jacket Racket will accept coats, hats, mittens/gloves, boots, etc. in children's and adult sizes.  Please ensure the items are cleaned and in good condition.
Thank you so much for thinking of others during this challenging time!

Our Day:

Today was all about spiders! We began our day with a read-aloud of Charlotte's Web where we learned the name for the part of the spider that produces silk. Ask your child if they remember what these body parts are called!

After reading, we continued our investigation into spiders with the book called "Spiders" by Laura Marsh. Then, we watched some videos of real-life spiders in nature. We used what we had learned to complete our K-W-L chart. A K-W-L chart is where you record what you Know, Wonder, and have recently Learned about a given subject.

To finish the day, we wrote about some of the things we liked most about spiders and we drew some fantastic drawing too!
