Jacket Racket 2020
We need your help!  We are currently collecting winter wear for Jacket Racket as we have for the past 4 years.  Due to Covid restrictions, we ask that you drop off new or gently used items in the collection bins outside the front door of the school.  Jacket Racket will accept coats, hats, mittens/gloves, boots, etc. in children's and adult sizes.  Please ensure the items are cleaned and in good condition.
Thank you so much for thinking of others during this challenging time!

Our Day:

After our Friendship Journals this morning, we reviewed the seventh chapter of Charlotte's Web in which Wilbur is faced with terrible news about his future. It was certainly a terrible day for Wilbur. Then we discussed some of the terrible days that we had had and we wrote about then in our writing journals. The title of our writing was "My Very Bad Day". Ask your child which day they wrote about!

Following lunch, we continued our exploration of the prairie landscapes and the animals that inhabits them. Ask your child what kind of animals live on the prairies!

In preparation for our ceremony tomorrow, Mrs. Campbell's class had a wonderful discussion about Remembrance Day and the significance of the poppy. Then they drew poppies and wrote about them!
