 Reminders:

MASKS

Now that the weather is colder and we are playing outside during our body breaks, students are finding their masks are very wet by the time they come inside. Please send your child with 1 or 2 extra masks for the day. THANK YOU!

Jacket Racket 2020

We need your help!  We are currently collecting winter wear for Jacket Racket as we have for the past 4 years.  Due to Covid restrictions, we ask that you drop off new or gently used items in the collection bins outside the front door of the school.  Jacket Racket will accept coats, hats, mittens/gloves, boots, etc. in children's and adult sizes.  Please ensure the items are cleaned and in good condition.
Thank you so much for thinking of others during this challenging time!

Our Day:

We are very excited to welcome Ms. Wauthier's class back to school! The students were very happy to see their friends again.

Ms. Wauthier and Mr. Kai introduced a new friend in their classroom, Mittens! Mittens is a rose hair tarantula and is 10 years old. Mittens will be staying with us until we finish our work on small crawling and flying animals. Ask your child what they learned about Mittens today!

Today we had Roots of Empathy and learned about what makes babies cry. Classes brainstormed what kinds of things we can do to help babies feel better.

Students also began writing about the best day they have ever had. Our classes are learning about adding important information into their writing, so today were asked to think about 3 reasons as to why that day was the best.

Our classes also learned about natural resources that are found in the prairies. Ask your child what resources they learned about!
