Important Info & Reminders:

  • Eric Harvie's next Peace Assembly is about feeling peaceful within ourselves.  We have been talking about finding a place where we feel good.  We are hoping to get a few pictures to add to our Peace Assembly.  Please note that if you send a picture it will be in the video attached to our school Youtube page.  What I am looking for: your child in a place that makes them feel good, feel at peace. It does not have to be a recent picture, it can be one from the past.  If you would like to participate, please email your photo to Jennele Coulson at jabaine@cbe.ab.ca.

  • Please be mindful of the staggered entrance times for your child each day. Many students are arriving before their entrance times, and it becomes difficult to maintain distancing when this happens. See below for your child's entrance time each morning.
8:15 am ( Last Name A-G)
8:20 am (Last Name H-N)
8:25 am (Last Name O-Z)

  • Please bring the work you produced while learning on-line to school. This may be on loose-leaf paper, in your visual journal, or in the half-size journal.
  • Our entrance and exit doors have changed. Students are to use the 2E doors (the tarmac) at the beginning and ending of the day.

Our Day:

  • In Literacy today, students continued working on their drafting stage of our writer's workshop. This week, our topic has been 'My Favourite Season'. We continued writing using our new magic words.
  • Ms. Wauthier/Mrs. Bowles' and Mr. Kai's classes talked about a new reading strategy that helps keep us on task. We learned all about the ways we can keep our eyes and our minds in our book!

  • In Phys Ed, students were rotating through different stations, practicing different skills for different sports.

  • We continued our learning about magnets and conducted experiments to determine which magnet was the strongest. Ask your child how many paperclips the strongest magnet picked up!
  • In math, we continued our learning about estimation and measurement! Today we made our own rulers using our fingers! Ask your child how!
