Reminders:

Fun lunch is this Thursday!

Please continue send your child with extra masks if you are able to as they tend to get wet after outdoor breaks.

Highlights from our day:

Literacy: We worked on a visualizing strategy to help us when we are reading. We listened to a story called Snowy Day without looking at the pictures and were asked to visualize what was happening at certain points in the story and to draw it out. We talked about how visualizing helps us remember and understand the story (comprehend).

Math: We read a great story called Bean 13 and did some introductory work with odd and even numbers. What does it mean to be an odd number? an even number?

Science: We discussed the concept of buoyancy and learned that water has density and that objects will only float if they are less dense than water. Students were challenged to alter a sinking object into a floating object. Mr. Kai's class will be doing this experiment tomorrow as they went to music today.

PE: Students played cooperative games today.
