One more day until the weekend!

Please remember that we will be going on a Coulee Walk on Friday, March 5th.  We plan to be out in the Coulee for about 2 hours.  Please dress for the weather. It is supposed to be nice but we will be getting down into the snow (or what is left of it.)

We will be creating some nature art around shelter and homes.  Take a look at your house from the outside.  Ask you child,  "What do you notice?"  If you are going to create an image of your house what would you want to include?

In Literacy, we are finishing up our walking stories.  Mrs. Bowles and Mr. Kai have introduced fiction and nonfiction. We are looking at these in both our reading and our writing.

We continue to work on our Words Their Way spelling patterns.  Today we were practicing how to write our words using our spelling patterns.

In math we are focusing on number lines. We are looking at the relationships between the notches and the number lines.  This is very good for math reasoning and knowing  how numbers are related, greater than, less than and numbers to 10.

Another safety note:

We have noticed that a number of students are not wearing their masks properly.  We are encouraging them to have their masks on at all times in the classroom and throughout the school. The only exception is when they are eating or drinking, once done the masks must be put back up over their nose and mouth.
Also, our masks are getting wet and dirty while outside.  Please make sure that your child has a couple of masks to use throughout the day.
We really want to keep our little friends safe and healthy!
