Reminders:
Spirit Days are back for the month of March. We had so much fun in December that we have decided to do it again! Spirit Days will be every Wednesday in March with different themes. We look forward to see what you come up with.
March 3: Backwards Day
March 10: Dress Like a Teacher Day
March 17: Animal Day
March 24: Inspirational Shirt Day
Highlights from our Day:
In Mrs. Campbell's class, during writing students worked on planning a story about a favourite pet or stuffed animal and focused on using the 'magic' word "sometimes" and "when" to help expand their ideas to add more details. Mr. Kai and Mrs. Bowles' class continued with the editing and publishing processing, choosing a from one of their rough drafts to create a published piece of writing.
Mrs. Campbell's class was introduced to some new literacy centres during guided reading today, and Mr. Kai and Mrs. Bowles' classes worked on various word work activities.
During science today students were introduced to the concept of stability. We looked at what type of boat bottoms are most stable and came to the conclusion that flat bottoms are most stable. We also learned about different parts of boats.
