  Reminders:

  • Just a reminder that the weather is always changing. Students will be going outside twice per day, lunch recess and during movement break in the afternoon.  Please ensure that you child has appropriate clothing for the ever-changing weather.  Some students were very cold today when we went from a beautiful morning to snow and windy conditions during our lunchroom recess and afternoon movement break.
  • Some of the EHS students have been working hard creating plays.  As this work has progressed they have shown interest in carrying these plays forward to something that they can perform and perhaps film.  They have been working on set, props and costume design and are hopeful that they can create these themselves.  If you have any of the following to donate we would really appreciate it. There will be a cart outside the front of the school at pick up and drop off times for any donations, you may also send them with your student to give to me.

Our Day:

We did not end up going to the coulee today because of the weather. Instead, we began our day with  a Math lesson where we continued our studies of subtraction. In Mr. Kai's class, the focus was on using number lines to solve subtraction equations.

After Phys. Ed., we had our reading groups and we learning about purposeful reading.

To end the day, we met in our Coulee School groups again. In Mrs. Bowles' class, we're starting an art project that will show what Calgary looked like long ago. In Mr. Kai's class, we learned about the importance of green spaces in cities and why we need to protect them. Mrs. Campbell's class learned about some animals that make their home in the coulee.
