COULEE SCHOOL NEWS

Highlights from our day:

  • We have started our final round of coulee school inquiry! Mr. Kai's class is working with Mrs. Bowles as historians. Mrs. Campbell's class is working with Mr. Kai and learning about being environmentalists, and Mrs. Bowles' class is working with Mrs. Campbell learning about the coulee as biologists!
  • We watched a short video that taught us about the teaching of the Buffalo. In Indigenous culture (specifically the Anishinaabe people), the Buffalo symbolizes respect. We had a group discussion about respect and what it means and looks like to respect yourself, others and the land. Students then reflected on when they are the buffalo and completed some writing and drawing about this topic.
