Our Day:

Our day was full of Halloween fun! It was so nice to see everyone in their costumes.

Mr. Kai and Ms. Wauthier's classes began their day with some spooky Halloween writing. Each student was given a place and a character to write about. They had to think about a story to write that included these items, as well as their own halloween character. Ask your child about the story they wrote!

We began our work on small crawling and flying insects, and talked a lot about spiders today! We even looked at some pictures of real spiders and saw how big they can get. We spent some of our afternoon drawing detailed spider webs, and filling them in with different patterns and colours.

Mrs. Campbell's class was taught a Halloween themed math lesson today by our new student teacher! Her name is Mrs. Molyneux and she will be with us until December! Mrs. Molyneux taught the class a strategy for addition using spiders and webs.

Happy Halloween! See you on Monday!
