 Happy December! Here is a fun, December outdoor activity calendar you can follow with your family.


Highlights from our Day:

Mrs. Campbell's class:
  • We wrote a reflection on chapter 11 of Charlotte's Web. We thought of words to describe Wilbur and shared the reasons why we think that about him.
  • We continued our study of the Arctic and Inuit culture. We learned about different kinds of Inuksuit (plural for Inukshuk) and created mini ones out of lego to inspire our artwork later this week
  • We told our own stories using tangrams with a partner. Students took turns shifting images as they built a story with their partner












Mr.Kai an Ms. Wauthier's classes:
  • we welcomed back Mrs. Bowles today. We were all excited to see her again!
  • we worked on friendship journals today. We have now written about every friend in our 2 classes!
  • we started learning about 2D shapes in math
  • we learned about decomposers in science

  Reminders: - This week is Teachers' Convention - there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, February 11th and Friday February 12th. - Monday, February 15th is Family Day - NO SCHOOL - we will see you all back at school on Tuesday, February 16th. - we will not be  exchanging valentines this year Highlights from our day: - we had and exciting presentation from Earth Rangers today and learned about animal conservation and how to take care of the earth. REMINDERS Families Helping Families As is our tradition at Eric Harvie School, again this year we are calling on your kindness and generosity to help support a family in need at Christmas.  This year, we will be supporting 10 families at Colonel Fred J. Scott School who may need a little extra help to make Christmas brighter.  While in past years we asked for specific gift donations for individual family members, due to the pandemic, this year will look different.      This year we are asking for monetary donations.  These donations will purchase a variety of gift cards (eg. Walmart, Superstore, Safeway) and small stocking stuffers gifted to each member of the 10 families in a stocking.  Parent Council has generously offered their support by collecting the money via direct deposit and helping purchase the gifts.   Donations can be made via at   ehsestreasurer@gmail.com    (No password required.)  and are welcomed on or before...
