Important Info & Reminders 

  • If you brought your indoor shoes home over the break, please remember to bring them back to school 
  • Please bring the work you produced while learning on-line to school. This may be on loose-leaf paper, in your visual journal, or in the half-size journal. 
  • Our entrance and exit doors have changed. Students are to use the 2E doors (the tarmac) at the beginning and ending of the day. 

Our Day

  • We began our with a Literacy lesson. We're learning how to tell personal narratives. Today, we began by learning how to plan out our writing effectively. 
  • In our Science lesson, we experimented with magnets and tested the strength of the magnetic field by passing different objects between the magnet and a paperclip. 
  • At the end of our day, we continued our work with measurement and estimation. We estimated whether the length of our waist to head was shorter or longer than waist to feet. Then we measured to confirm or disprove our estimations.

  Reminders: - This week is Teachers' Convention - there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, February 11th and Friday February 12th. - Monday, February 15th is Family Day - NO SCHOOL - we will see you all back at school on Tuesday, February 16th. - we will not be  exchanging valentines this year Highlights from our day: - we had and exciting presentation from Earth Rangers today and learned about animal conservation and how to take care of the earth. REMINDERS Families Helping Families As is our tradition at Eric Harvie School, again this year we are calling on your kindness and generosity to help support a family in need at Christmas.  This year, we will be supporting 10 families at Colonel Fred J. Scott School who may need a little extra help to make Christmas brighter.  While in past years we asked for specific gift donations for individual family members, due to the pandemic, this year will look different.      This year we are asking for monetary donations.  These donations will purchase a variety of gift cards (eg. Walmart, Superstore, Safeway) and small stocking stuffers gifted to each member of the 10 families in a stocking.  Parent Council has generously offered their support by collecting the money via direct deposit and helping purchase the gifts.   Donations can be made via at   ehsestreasurer@gmail.com    (No password required.)  and are welcomed on or before...
