"Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching"

- Lin Pernille

Our Day:

  • Our day began with one of our students looking at the day's schedule and exclaiming, "Wow, this looks like it's going to be a fun day!"
  • After a writing exercise, we had a video conference with Calgary's division of the Earth Guardians. They explained what they do and why they do it. For the last week, Eric Harvie has been host to their newly revealed Wild Rose art piece that was created with found plastic bags. Many of us were excited to join the Guardians when we reach age ten and some of us even suggested creating their own group for younger kids!
  • Yesterday, we learned about the deportation of the Acadians in 1755. It was something that really grabbed our attention! Today, we were excited to learn some more about the Acadians. To finish the day, we drew tall ships like the ones that sailed off the eastern coast.
Have great weekend!
