LAST THURSDAY - June 24, 2021

 Thursday has been quite busy for the being the last week of school.  

We have been trying to wrap many projects up.  Coulee School will have one more day!  When asked the students have said that this has been their favourite part of their day.

Coulee History are in the process of finishing and publishing their awesome, descriptive personal narratives to go along with their artistic masterpieces.  These will come home tomorrow.

Coulee Biology completed their "How to Be" books and they were brought home to share with their families

Coulee Environmentalists are finishing up their work and will also be bringing it home to share what they have learned about being stewards of the coulee.


Friday will be our Sports Day!  The weather is to cooperate and we will be outside for an hour completing a number of stations.  Please dress for the weather. Sunscreen and hats will probably be needed.

The students have chosen that they will come wearing something of their favourite team or wear the colours of their favourite team.  We hope to see lots of Oilers colours😏

We will be sending most of the students work home tomorrow.  So if you would like to send an extra bag that will help transport all of their treasures.

  Reminders:   If you're students have an unreturned library books, please make sure they make their way back to school.  We're going on a coulee walk on Thursday! Be prepared.  We will also be hosting a virtual talent show in the last week of school so if you have talent submit a video.  We ask that videos not be longer than a minute, if they are I will be editing them shorter.  A talent can be anything that you are great at so dig deep!  Happy Thursday Peace Group Learners and Families This is my first official blog after returning to Eric Harvie School full-time.   My apologies for missing the blog yesterday. Transitions can be a challenge. Today was a packed day full of learning for all of the Peace Group.  All of the students continue to work on developing their writing. We are all working on "Walking Stories" these are stories that are about themselves. We have focused on our memories.  A "Walking Story's" main character is the student. It is all about a person, place or thing that your child knows a lot about.  We have been using a variety of planning techniques. The students are also learning how to revise their writing by adding "Triple Scoop" words, interesting details and looking at using our "No Excuse" word lists for editing.
