Thursday, June 3, 2021 - It Is a Hot One Today!

Today was another scorcher!  We were glad to go on our coulee walk this morning when there was some cloud cover.  It was a great day for our coulee adventures.   An update on all three groups and what they did.

Mrs. Campbell's Coulee School Group (Mr. Kai's class) - the biologists - went to Tipi Forest and the Duck Pond.  They complete 365º mapping.  They saw some newly hatched ducklings and goslings. They also saw their old friend the muskrat.

Mr. Kai's Coulee School Group (Mrs. Bowles class) Worked on filming some parts for our upcoming Peace Assembly.

And finally, Mrs. Bowles Coulee School Group (Mrs. Campbell's class) returned to our sit spots and observed, noticed and wondered about the changes that have happened since the last time we were there. We also explored the north part of the coulee by walking through the shade of the trees. We crossed the creek by stepping on stones.  We finished our time in the coulee by reading a picture book about a young boys first year leaving home to go to school.  The book was called Shin-Chi's Canoe by Nicola Campbell.

We took off our shoes and socks and cooled our feet in the creek while Mrs. Bowles read to us.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is a PD Day at Eric Harvie. There will be no school for the students tomorrow. Enjoy your long weekend!
