 Reminders:

We are going on a coulee walk tomorrow morning. Please be prepared with a water bottle and an easy to eat snack on the go!

Highlights from our Day:

  • We focused our learning on another Anishinaabe teaching. This time we learned about the Eagle and how it represents love. We talked about how you show love through acts of kindness and respect and that it's important to treat yourself, others, animals and the land with love

We explored the concepts of equality creating equality statement using animals with number values. The animals were based on a story called, Equal Shmequal, by Virginia Kroll. Listen together at home here. Students loved exploring the concept in this way and did an excellent job!

The biologist group learned about Muskrats today -we are hoping to see some on our coulee walk tomorrow! The environmentalists discussed how they would replant the coulee as part of their reflection on the book, The Boy Who Planted a Forest. The historians learned about the Blackfoot tipi and made tipis today.

It was WACKY WEDNESDAY!
